Grief is a painful and difficult journey that no one wants to take. The sadness can be overwhelming, and the finality can feel unbearable. Our life is forever changed because the person we love is gone...from this side of heaven. The inspiration for the Grieving with Hope jar is my own personal journey through grief, after losing my dad to cancer in 2018. Through that journey I felt anguish, sadness and suffering. Yet I also experienced God's love, comfort, peace, and joy, through His faithfulness and His people. The earthly mixed with the heavenly...the seen and the unseen. The verses in this jar are a mixture of both: acknowledging the reality of the pain of death on this side of heaven, while also reminding us of the hope we have through faith in Jesus. This 16 oz. glass jar is filled with 25 hand-rolled NIV Bible passages, printed on shimmer, linen, and plain papers in hues of green, blue, pink and cream. The lid is embellished with a floral print paper*. The jar is accented with green linen ribbon and a beautiful pale pink handmade paper flower. *Please note that uniform patterned paper is not used on the lid of this jar, so the floral pattern may not look exactly the same as in the photo.
