Contact prior to ordering is mandatory!!! These Tonto's are made of fully tempered 5160 spring steel. the finish on the blade itself will be a satin finish with a satin bevel on the cutting edge. The handle is wrapped with leather that is hand sewn then wrapped over with additional leather. The dimensions of the knife will vary due to it being free form from larger stock ( i usualy start with quarter inch by two inch and hammer it into a finished shape to do minimal grinding, i dont like wasting good steel). Change as of 10/2/22, handles over 4" will have added wood base for better grip. Blades will also increase in width along with length. Do be warned, these blades are hand hammered as close to finished product as possible to reduce the amount of grinding required. Measurements will be slightly different but never under what is stated above. There will also be marks on the blade (while few) which are artifacts of the forging process and will show that it is handmade and not just some cut-and-grind mass produced knife like many on this site. I offer customization of the handle with the color of the leather handle. Put the colors you desire in the personalization tab, as default's will be black for light leathers and tan for dark leathers if one is not supplied.
