This is truly an heirloom quality shawl that you are sure to adore now and for years to come. It is absolutely beautiful and feminine, with just a touch of added detail to make it special. A lot of time and love went into knitting this one-of-a-kind piece, but it was totally worth it, as it has brought so much joy to my heart and I know it'll go to the right person and to a good home some day. This garment is in a rectangle shape, with ample room to drape over your shoulders, or folded in half for something shorter, as shown in the pictures. The two tassels in the center mark the midpoint of the shawl, with an additional four tassels on the corners. Each tassel is approximately five inches long. The gathered bands of green ruching make way for black stripes, giving this piece a very dramatic look. Wear it with that little black dress to an elegant dinner party, or wrapped several times for that casual look, perhaps with a jean jacket. Completing the knitted shawl there is delicate crocheted picot edging on the short sides. This is 100% merino wool, and care should be taken when washing so as not to felt the piece. Spot clean recommended, however, it's possible to hand wash it in cold with non-abrasive detergent only. Do not bleach. Do not wring. Lay flat to dry.
