This unique patriotic door hanger is a primitive version of the 1776 American flag design. The strips and star panel are hand painted on muslin that has been aged with a coffee/cinnamon solution. The stars are hand painted on the flag. The stripes and stars outlines are hand quilted. Pip berries, Sweet Annie and Spanish moss are secured onto the flag. The aged Declaration of Independence is secured with tea-dyed cheesecloth and placed on the flag along with a stained vanilla tag indicating the year 1776. A rusty wire hanger is attached to the back - ready for hanging! This vintage flag display is approximately 17" X 11". This is a wonderful primitive Americana display for any home!
