Paula Mae is a primitive chicken inspired from Simply Nantucket's. The shelf-sitting fabric folk art chicken is made from tea-dyed muslin, that is hand painted, then spattered with paint for character. The eyes are made from clay. The chicken's dress is made from a chicken print cotton fabric with a black chicken wire trim. The underskirt is a chicken egg fabric design. The black and white polka dot bandanna is also made from cotton fabric. The bloomers and feathers are made from tea-dyed muslin. Her chicken feet are painted with jute wrapped dowels for legs.
