This heavy cutting board is made from one of the most attractive woods grown in America and manufactured in the US heartland in Danville, Indiana by experienced craftsmen. The board is sealed with multiple applications of food grade mineral oil and then given a hand rubbed finish of a proprietary natural bees wax based sealer. The board features the natural grain and beauty of Hickory while benefiting from the durability offered by this unique wood. The manufacturing process for building our boards reduces the possibility of any warpage, cupping, splitting, or twisting. Hickory is one of the hardest woods used commercially and is almost 50% harder than hard maple. The wood color varies from light tan to dark brown making interesting and unique color patterns. This board is designed to be used and can take a beating.
