This is my first broken canvas project where I painted everything from the background picture to the canvas frame. The finished piece is of a person in a large ship looking out to see a sailboat headed into a storm. Shades of blue and black watercolor paint form the impressionistic background painting and decorate the canvas frame. A braided hemp cord and blue starfish frame the porthole opening. 8 by 10 inches. A hanger is attached to the back.
