After the engraving process, the board is washed and treated with food-grade mineral oil (Cutting Board Oil) twice. The board is then allowed to cure for 24 hrs. After it has cured, we add two coats of Cutting Board conditioner (mixture of Cutting board Oil and Bees Wax). The process gives the natural wood a food-safe surface that will last multiple uses. We process every board the same way. However, because of natural variations within the boards we use, each product will have its own unique look. Care instructions: Hand-wash only with warm water and light soap after each use. Do not soak and dry immediately. Re-apply Cutting Board conditioner every month or as needed. Not following care instructions may result with a non-sanitary cutting board.
