This leather apron is perfect for grilling at the barbecue. Equally adept for many other activities where protection is desired. Includes 2 pockets. This apron uses a lighter weight leather and is a little bit smaller than my shop apron. This apron has a loop which goes around the neck. This also allows one to fold the apron bib down and just tie it around your waist to simply use as an apron to protect below your waist. I visited a few historical re-enactment villages in the US and and observed that the coopers, tinsmiths, shoe makers all used this type of apron. Sometimes they want full body protection, but sometimes a waist apron is sufficient - and with the summer heat being able to fold the apron down is advantageous. At one of the re-enactment villages the shoemaker who made all the aprons for the village told me he adopted this washer/knot method for the straps as it proved to last longer and work better than sewing the straps on. The apron dimensions and shape are all my one, but I also adopted the washer/knot method for attaching the straps.
