This is a leather Artisan Aztec/Mayan Note pad, journal, holder/Portfolio. This craft was constructed with the highest quality Hermann Oak leather. The high quality interior lining is a full-grain leather that has been smoothed and waxed to enhance the leather fibers. On the front cover I carved an ancient Mayan design. The Tzolkin, which is part of the Mayan calendar. The back of the portfolio contains Mayan artwork. The inside pocket contains artwork of a Mayan hieroglyphics. Of course all my crafts are 100% hand-stitched, hand tooled, hand carved, and hand-dyed leather pieces of art. (as ETSY is supposed to be.) The interior holds a junior legal pad of paper and a pen holder. It also contains a sleeve to hold loose papers. Located also in the interior is a pocket for cards. This will make a unique artisan gift to give everyone for any holiday and occasion. The leather is 6-7 ounces thick to make the portfolio sturdy and very durable - a true made-to-last item.
