Long Copper Stud Earrings, Metalsmith Made Articulated Earrings with Flower Pattern
Long floral earrings handmade starting from sheet copper and sterling silver wire. To create these unique earrings, I first impressed the design onto a sheet of copper, then I saw-cut out the petal shapes, smoothed the edges, and soldered sterling wires to the reverse. This sterling wire acts as hinges in the completed earrings. Each section swings independently giving these earrings great movement. Little snowflake obsidian and freshwater pearl beads add a finishing touch to the bottom dangle. I've sealed the front of these earrings with a varnish for metal to protect the color from changes in the patina. They measure 1 3/4" from the top of the earring to the bottom of the bead dangles and are 5/16" wide. Each earring is individually handcrafted, please expect very slight variances.
