Bands of light and dark green show off in the wire sculpted sterling silver filled frame. The pendant is about 3" long. Malachite, pronounced (Mal-ah-kite), probably derives its name from either Greek malhe, meaning grass for its green color or Greek malakos, meaning soft because the stone lends itself well to being carved. With its concentric, eye-like rings of green that mimic the eye of a peacock feather, this stone has captured the imagination of many cultures for ages, and has been described by poets as spring grass swaying in the wind. This pendant features a beautiful tumbled malachite stone. It has not had anything done to it but to be tumbled and polished. Surrounded by sterling silver wire this pendanat is about 3" long. All attempts have been made to photograph these items correctly in the natural light. However, colors can/do vary with everyone's individual monitors.
