The cotton requirements make them reasonably safe to use in the microwave to warm up your hot soups, cereals and other microwavable foods that fit in the bowls of this set. There are 3 sizes in the set; small, medium and large. Measurements are below. These pretty Cozies are perfect for today's interiors with their farmhouse coloring of gray, green, cream, black and white with pretty florals and scroll prints. Simply set your microwavable bowl of food into the appropriately sized cozy. Cover the food+bowl only with wax paper if desired before setting into cozy. Put into microwave and heat at only 1-2 minutes intervals until properly heated to desired temperature. Do not leave unattended. Simply grab the cozy and lift the bowl from the microwave without any spillage or burning of your hands. No additional potholders are needed. You can serve in the same cozy if desired. When or if your cozy gets dirty with spilled foods, it is time to launder it. All the cozies are quilted with a layer of cotton batting between the pretty fabrics. The fabrics are preshrunk to prevent further shrinkage. The cozies are also machine washable and dryable for ease in laundering. A non-bleach stain cleaner can be used if needed.
