This is a handcrafted, spiritually themed miniature diorama set in 54mm scale. The diorama features a weathered statue of the Buddha resting in a tranquil landscape of handmade trees, flowers, grasses and bushes. Alongside the statue is a standing tiger. Tigers in the Buddhist tradition symbolize strength, courage and the triumph of the mind over anger. Above is a large eagle taking flight from the tree. Eagles in the Buddhist tradition symbolize enlightenment and freedom. Additionally, the landscape features a real piece of petrified wood jutting out of the forest floor. Petrified wood in the Buddhist tradition symbolizes grounding, resilience and the enduring quality of the Dharma. The statue, the animals and the trees and ground are painted with acrylic and oil paints. The diorama comes with a removeable glass display case which protects the art from dust and wear. The diorama sits on a handmade bamboo base adorned with copper sheet, brass and spiritual charms. The base is constructed of bamboo barbecue skewers individually glued together one by one. The base is then sanded and then coated with thick epoxy resin. The miniature scene is a serene place to go when needing calmness. Many, many hours and much love was put into its' construction.
