Handcrafted wall cross made with wood, glass tiles and a small stylized stone cross. The wood cross has been tinted a metallic copper. A simple minimalist cross made of small iridescent black glass tiles is mounted on the wooden cross with a small marbleized green stone stylized cross in the center. Even before the cross was a symbol of Christianity it was a pagan religious symbol. My intent here was to illustrate the evolution of the significance and symbolism of the cross.
