Mookaite Jasper in Silver Pendant
Beautiful mookaite jasper cabochons have bands of yellow and a sort of mustard color. The oval one is showing off different shades of red and mustard. The oval mookaite jasper surrounded by sterling silver wire and is also about 2" long. The name Mookaite is the name of the 700,000 acre sheep farm in Western Australia (Mooka Station) where Mookaite was first discovered. Mookaite nurtures our inner desire for calm with our outer desires, shielding us from dangerous situations and balances those tendencies with the desire for variety, adventure and new experiences. Like other jasper gemstones, mookaite it is a chalcedony and member of the quartz group. The broad patterns of red-browns and golds that sweep through it are actually finely-divided minerals such as clay and iron oxide.
