Leo was a HUGE surprise when he was born - genetics do interesting things. :) This fleece is natural brown and soft - Leo was a random mix of breeds but the Finnsheep (which is where I am pretty sure he got is throwback coloring) and his Cormo grandmother add a lot more softness to his fleece than is standard in our flock. This is a very soft fiber - honestly I am sad to sell it... but as any crafter/creator will tell you, there is NEVER enough time to create all the things one would want to create. It will spin up with a nice hand and (at least for most people) will be next-to skin soft. This is a natural fiber - as such you will find some VM in this roving - it is my hope to be able to purchase a fiber separator to help with VM removal, but for now, it is inevitable. Please note also that exact weight can vary depending on the amount of moisture content in the fiber at time of weighing - since wool is highly absorbent, this # can fluxuate with the atmosphere.
