Picture 4 is of a similar colored certified Moldavite. Moldavite is an ancient Tektite from the Nordlinger Ries impact strewn fields. They come in a verity of greens and even a very rare blue. True Moldavite has bubbles of air from the 15 million years ago that can be seen usually under magnification, as well as striations. The colors of Moldavite depends on the concentration in the mineral of iron in the Fe2 & Fe3, along with other trace minerals. In helping my customers I like to include as much information as possible, without overloading, so they can make informed decisions. Because of the plethora of imitations on the market, I have included pictures of a similar colored Moldavite to show the color of this gemstone as authentic, as well as a report from NASA describing the strewn fields colors, also a color chart of Moldavite.
