The inside of the piece is glazed with a clear glaze making it non-porous it can contain liquid. I took photos of this piece in different light conditions; the glazes really come to life in (sun)light. Each piece is individually designed and handmade so every piece is a one of a kind and unique. The piece you are purchasing is the exact same planter as in the pictures. Because of the nature of handmade pottery, imperfections are possible in each piece. The bottom of the piece is left unglazed. I sign the bottom of each piece with my name.
