Oregon Blue Iris Watercolor Painting by Deb Babcock
During a springtime hike, I found beautiful blue iris growing wild alongside trail and decided to capture the image in a small watercolor painting. Iris tenax is the botanical name for this beauty and it features shades of blue, purple and white with a bright yellow center line down two of the petals. I painted this on Arches 140 lb watercolor paper using artist quality pigments. You can have it sent to you framed and ready to hang, or unframed so you can select your own frame locally.
