Beautifully crafted from hand picked Southwest Florida Oyster Shells this is an original artwork created by Captain Carolyn Simoneau. All shells are hand collected from the waters around Sanibel Island by myself and my husband John while on our dolphin, shelling and sightseeing boat tours we run from our business Beach Buddy Tours-Cape Coral Dolphin Tours in Cape Coral Fl. The shells are collected, cleaned and then made into a unique, one of a kind flower sculpture. For this creation, Oyster Flower #4, the shells were hand painted using a high quality pearlized metallic paint then deocopaged in a tropical palm print. This piece's star is the curious rhinestone Crab, and unique vintage flower brooch and other embellishments. The piece was sealed in lacquer. This original piece is roughly 8" x 6" wide and 3.5" tall. A protective acrylic disk has been attached to the bottom of the piece to ensure no scratch marks from the oyster shell to your furniture. This item is just the flower sculpture. The aluminum plate, wooden tray with sand and shells was used for display and photography purposes only and does not come with the sculpture.
