This is a perfect sized trinket dish to hold a ring or pair of small earrings for yourself or given as a gift! The edges and the back of the shell are painted with gold acrylic paint and was sealed to protect it. The inside of the shell was kept natural but was also sealed. The shells I use are collected (empty), cleaned and dried in the sun right here in the Florida Panhandle.
