Each earring was made with an origami folded paper seahorse in a royal blue Chiyogami Japanese paper with light blue, orange & white flower, hanging from a gold colored fishhook ear-wire. The length of the earring from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the of the seahorse is about 2″. The width of the seahorse is about 0.5″. The origami seahorses were sealed with several coats of sealer and non-yellowing satin varnish to add durability and protect them from moisture. But they are not waterproof, so do not submerge the earrings in water, or wear them to go swimming or taking showers.
