Our boards have been sanded to 220 grit, then moistened with a mist of water to pop the grain, and finish sanded once again to provide a smooth finish. After final sanding the board is oiled with food-grade mineral oil before shipping out. Do not place boards in a dishwasher and always store them in a dry place.
