Hamsa (khamsa), also called Hand of Fatima and also the Hand of Miriam, is an amulet prevalent throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa to ward off the Evil Eye. It's worn in jewelry, and used in the home as a wall hanging. This pewter Hamsa is 1-1/4" (34mm) long with an open scrolling filigree design. The Hamsa hangs from a large 13x18mm baroque barrel-shaped quartz crystal surrounded by royal blue Chinese porcelain rondelles with petal pink flowers and green leaves. The center dangle is 2-5/8" (67mm) long. Partway up the sides are three more blue floral rondelles with pink blush glass accent pony beads.
