Picasso Jasper is actually a metamorphic limestone, which is a calcium magnesium carbonate mineral and not a jasper at all. The beautiful layers and colours of Picasso Jasper result from heat and pressure within the Earth. The patterns in this stone are formed by iron oxides. The first necklace is about 20" long and features two sizes of picasso jasper beads. The pendant is a tumbled jasper that highlights the colors in the picasso jasper beads. Surrounded in copper wire, this pendant is about 3" long. The earrings are single drops of the picasso jasper dangling from sterling silver French hook ear wires and are about 1" long. The second necklace has round picasso jasper beads and is about 20" long. The pendant is a coin shaped picasso jasper wrapped in sterling silver wire. The earrings are single drops of picasso jasper dangling from sterling silver French hook ear wires and are about 1" long.
