I believe this set features the gemstone called Ru Stone or Plum blossom jade. Ru Stone is a kind of jade with great texture and rigidity, originating from the border area between Ruzhou and Rurang, Henan province, deemed a “national treasure” by the first emperor of the Eastern Han dynasty (AD 25-220). The stones have been cut into teardrops and have a variety of colors and markings. The stones are complimented by the deep rusty red triangular shaped seed beads. The necklace is about 20" long. The pendant is a beautiful geode that nicely compliments the Ru stones. Wire sculpted sterling silver filled wire surrounds the geode. The pendant is about 2" long. The earrings are single drops of the Ru stone and seed beads dangling from French hook ear wires and are about 1.5" long. All attempts have been made to photograph these items correctly in the natural light. However, colors can/do vary with everyone's individual monitors.
