Process of Elimination: 8x10 Mixed Media Fine Art Print, Botanical Collage Painting, Abstract Orange Illustration Painting for Plant Lover
This is a fine art print of my mixed-media painting, Process of Elimination. Starting with a torn page from a magazine, I painted and drew on top until I reached a level of concealed and revealed imagery that satisfied me. This process was much like the process of discovering an identity, especially in the queer community. I created this piece in response to a gallery show, called Layers of Identity, and thought specifically about how I curate what parts of myself I show to the world, which are artificial, and which are tucked away for myself alone. I produce my prints right in my home studio in Belmont, NH using a 6-color inkjet printer on matte fine art photography paper. Each is signed by hand on the back and sealed in a clear plastic sleeve with a rigid backing board for the best protection. I can produce prints to order if my supply of materials allows, so if you require a large quantity of prints (perhaps as wedding favors, holiday gifts for extended family, etc.) feel free to contact me.
