Purple Blue Hand-Painted Large Paisley Teardrop Post Earrings Chain Dangle OOAK
My friend Susan was a talented jewelry artist in the 1970's through 1990's. She sold her work in boutiques and at craft fairs, and designed many of her own components. When Susan died, I inherited a large painted tin of her jewelry findings. These earring findings were part of Susan's collection. Gold-tone plate over pewter, they're 1-3/4" (43mm) long and 1" (25mm) wide. Curved paisley teardrops are reminiscent of Victorian style vintage jewelry which Susan so loved. I hand-painted the center of the paisley. Background is periwinkle lavender, with turquoise and navy blue. Sealant was applied over the paint. Below the paisley are faceted glass beads called blue iris, a peacock teal blue-green with a rainbow AB (aurora borealis) coating. I added antique gold-tone chains for a graceful drape. These are pierced post earrings. The large disk makes them ideal to cover up elongated ear holes or scar tissue. The last picture shows the back view. 3-3/8" (85mm) long from top to bottom. OOAK one-of-a-kind Gift-ready in either an organza bag (default) or gift box upon request. Packaging styles change with availability.
