Our Rainbow Pocket Rosary is handmade from the heart! This single decade rosary is natural hematite stone in all the colors of the rainbow, with a single brass Our Father bead just above the historic cross. The cross and Romantic Mary fob are solid bronze, cast right here at WhyteWing. We wanted to celebrate Pride with you this year, and when we found this glorious hematite... Voila! Speaking of hematite, this stone is gunmetal gray in it's natural state. The high iron content allows it to be plated successfully with other metals. In this case, the stone is plated with copper, then heated. The copper surface turns into this brilliant rainbow. The wrapped wire work is solid brass, and as I mentioned, the cross and fob are solid bronze. Each of these Rainbow Bronze Pocket Rosaries will have hand cast cross and fob (centerpiece) in the Romantic Mary and Historic Cross molds I have created. I will hand-wrap the wire that joins the beads. The photos show one example of this design. It is the design, but not necessarily the actual rosary you will receive. Bronze will patina over time, revealing highlights with your touch.
