Reclaimed mahogany violet candle holders, set of 3
I had a pile of reclaimed Mahogany. I cleaned up all the boards and separated them into piles based on size. This pile was turned into tea light holders. They turned out beautiful. Pictures cant show the color and figure that came out in the wood. Each piece is unique and one of a kind. Some of the edges are still rough. There are a few knots. But it is part of being reclaimed wood, and adds to the character of each piece. I have 10 sets of 3 holders. Each set comes with one 3" tall, one 6" tall, and one 9" tall. They are 2" x 2 1/4". Each one has twine wrapped around it. They come with 2 sets of tea lights, so they are ready to set out on display. I sanded these to 400 grit, and then finished them with my own mixture or oils and varnish. My finish brings out the grain in the wood, and makes it pop. I use this finish on a lot of my projects, going back over a decade. It holds up very well, and is easy to fix if ever needed. My youngest boy helped me in the shop with these. He maned the drill press, drilling out the holes for the tea lights.
