Red jasper is a variety of quartz and is in the chalcedony mineral class. Jasper can come in many colors, though red jasper, in particular, can have high levels of iron, resulting in the color red. Two sizes of red jasper round beads offer beautiful shades of red in this jewelry set. The necklace is about 20" long and the pendant is a teardrop shaped red jasper cabochon that is surrounded by sculpted sterling silver wire and is about 2" long. The earrings are single drops of red jasper beads dangling from sterling silver French hook ear wires and are about 1.5" long.
