Rejected Designs of Newton's Cradle Earrings - Disrupted Momentum and Energy Conservation, Abstract Design, Silver Hammered Hoops
These earrings are an interpretation of the Newton's Cradle. However, due to deliberate miscalculations, the law of physics is disrupted due to the length of one ball.
Available in Silver Plate and 925 Sterling Silver
Earrings are hammered for strength and ball dangles are kinetic, just not in the desired direction. A sacrifice in science makes for an interesting design for these mismatched earrings.
- silver plated or sterling silver metal, including ear wire
- silver plated or sterling silver beads
Silver Plate vs Sterling Silver
- Silver Plated metal is copper that has been coated with a thin layer of silver. It doesn't tarnish as much as silver, especially with good care, like limiting exposure to air when not in use and keeping it away from water. However, when it does tarnish, cleaning it is an issue since rubbing and polishing are likely to wear away the silver layer, exposing the copper red metal.
- Sterling Silver is an alloy metal, made up of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. It is more expensive since it has more pure silver. It also tarnishes, but cleaning it is not an issue to restore that mirror shine.
