Glass is cut by hand so there may be little chips alone the edges but shouldn't be seen under the edge of a frame. My glass is from Home Depot which is generally 3/32" thick. I also have glass that is 1/16" thick. Please send me a note if you need the thin glass. Remember to tell me the exact you need. PS My trick to get the right measurement is to cut a paper to match the opening and measure that.
