White bees flew in and out of her mouth on her Baptism day without harming her. Many years after her death until present, white bees visit her former convent in Cascia every year from Holy Week until her feast day on May 22. The gold ray in this design was inspired by artwork portraying a ray of light streaming from the head of Christ to the single stigmata wound on St. Rita’s head. Plan ahead! The Feast of St. Patrick is March 17.
