Sand Dollar Cross, Beach Cross, Wooden Sand Dollar Beach Cross, Ocean Crucifix, Religious Ornament, Easter Gift

Product Description

Sand dollars have long been considered symbols of the birth, death and resurrection of Christ. The front of a sand dollar includes a five pointed flower with a star center. These are seen by many to represent the Star of Bethlehem and an Easter Lily. The five slits that surround the outer edges of the sand dollar are believed to represent the wounds Christ endured on the cross. On the reverse side of a natural sand dollar is another flower pattern, thought to symbolize the poinsettia, the flower most commonly associated with the Christmas season. Sand dollars are also considered symbols of peace since when broken open, five fragments (actually the sand dollar’s teeth) resembling doves are released. We have captured some of this beautiful symbolism in our Sand Dollar Cross. ❤ SIZE AND FEATURES: • This unique cross features the ocean and the beach with five sand dollars.
