Satin Spar (Selenite) Resin Light with 3 Firefly Bulbs Makes a Perfect Novelty Desk Light or Night Light
Whether you are into crystals and stones, healing, reiki, or just want a beautiful little ornament, this light offers a beautiful option. I set a small satin spar (often mistakenly called selenite) tower in a resin shot glass base. I've wired 3 tiny (3mm) firefly LED bulbs to a 3M (almost 10 feet) USB cord, which makes a cool light show. The firefly bulbs include one each in red, green, and blue. Firefly bulbs fade off and on, just like real lightning bugs. The mixture of the 3 light primary colors creates additional colors. The base is a soothing blue resin shot glass. I include an AC wall adapter. The electricity usage is 1/3- 1/2 that of a standard 4w night light bulb. Satin spar is commonly misidentified as selenite. Both are forms of gypsum, but true selenite is clear, while satin spar has a cat eye look.
