Solid red oak burial flag case

Product Description

Up for sale is a brand new handcrafted solid oak hardwood burial flag case. This is made from solid 1/2 inch oak. It is sized to fit a 5 X 9.5 foot burial flag. The flag is accessible by removing the back panel, with the simple turn of the turn screws. The front has a real glass piece, not plastic. The glass is free floating and held in place by the inner lining. If the glass were ever in need to being replaced, it is super easy to get to. No needing to unscrew anything, no need to pull staples or nails, no need to take anything apart. Just remove the inner lining by pulling it straight out. This design also allows the wood to move due to humidity without cracking the glass or pushing apart a joint. This can either be hung on the wall, or be placed on a desk or mantel. It will look good anywhere you put it. I finished this with a coat of craftsman colored dye, then sprayed a coat of clear lacquer. The end product produces a velvety smooth feel. Overall dimensions at their longest are 28 inches long, 4 1/4 inches wide, and 13 3/4 inches tall. This is a heavy case, as it is made from hardwood. (Shipping prices keep going up, and so I have to increase my prices to cover. Also the cost of the materials. The glass is not covered in case of shipping damage. I will do all I can to make sure that it is well packed, but it might not make it in one piece. They all have so far minus 1, but there is always that chance.)
