This stained glass landscape scene is a rendering of the Springfield Manor Inn and Winery in Thurmont Maryland--well known for their Lavender fields and annual Lavender Festival as well as a premier wedding and event venue. (see last photo). It measures 11 13/4" x 9 1/2" and is framed in zinc with sturdy hangers permanently attached to the frame. This piece incorporates Spectrum and Kokomo opalescent art glasses, with the Inn detail handpainted in black glass paint. The solder and frame are silver colored, but will appear darker in a lighted window. Each piece of glass is carefully selected, cut and shaped by hand, and assembled using the copper foil method (also known as the Tiffany method.)
