This piece is a faux/fake Strawberry Shortcake inspired cake. My pieces are inspired by Pinterest and aspire to create more as my shop grows. The beginning of my shop with consists of my cakes in an effort to display the aesthetic and vibe of my shop. To give a little more detailed to the pieces, this particular piece is a 10” round shaped 1-tier cake, however, I offer 6”, 8”, and 10” cakes in round, heart, and star shapes in 1, 2, and 3-tiers. Although I have a few designs at the moment, my purpose of the shop is to be as customizable as possible. The purpose of the original design is for viewers to get a feel for my shop. My functioning behind these cakes is due to my passion in arts and crafts, and as a former cake decorator, I decided to continue working on my skills and techniques. So rather than continuing to work in cake decorating, I decided to open up my own shop and create decorative and detailed cakes, but cake that will be for decoration purposes rather than a temporary piece of food. Pinterest has inspired me to be as decorative and detailed in the cakes and as someone who has considered themselves as an artist since they were a child, I decided to continue to show off my work and to share it with other people.
