This design was originally designed to fit a 500ml/16.9oz sized can as standard. You can still put your cans or bottled water in these mugs. We print these mugs with a food-safe material. It is a special material turned into filament that food-safe and dishwasher-safe. It allows to have the use of hot or cold liquids. You can use them again and again without worries. A painted mug is hand-painted with acrylic paints which is not food-safe, we coat the paint with a food-safe varnish to protect the paint so that you can use it over and over again and run it through the dishwasher.
