Turquoise Teardrops Cowrie Shell White Hishi Necklace
Four turquoise teardrops are combined with cowrie shells and white shell hishi in this fun unisex necklace. In California we call this style "surfer jewelry" --- but of course you can wear it inland to bring a little beach vibe to wherever you live. The flat teardrops are 10-12mm wide and 15-19mm long. Some have heavier black or brown veining, and some have very little veining. Most are bright turquoise, but a few are slightly darker. Hand-beveled stones have some irregularity, but as a whole these are nice B-/C+ grade. Cowrie shells are wire-wrapped in-between the turquoise. Throughout Africa and the Caribbean, cowrie shells are a symbol of Goddess protection, wealth, and fertility. Hishi is 2.5mm pure white conus shell.
