Product Description

Uncle Sam is a common nickname for the US government. It was first used during the war of 1812 and was named after Samuel Wilson. He was a meat packer who supplied meat rations yo the soldiers. The barrels were marked U.S. for United States, but the soldiers began referring to the shipments as being from "Uncle Sam". Sam will certainly make a statement as a centerpiece for your decor during the Patriotic holidays. Sammy is made from coordinated patriotic cottons and homespuns which will vary depending on availability. His face and hands are made from stained muslin. He is nicely weighted so he can sit freely. His shoes are made from felt. The hat is the traditional red and white stripe with a star band. Facial details include bead eyes and sewn accents. Dimensions are approximate: 11"H X 8"W X 7"D Since each is handmade, no two will be alike. From a smoke free, feline friendly home. NOT a Toy. Photos are the sole possession of Cozy Expressions.
