UnMinted | Antiqued "Memento Mori - The Last Laugh" | Collectible Pocket Challenge Decision Coin Bell | Motorcycle Bell
Motorcycle Bells are popular in the riding world – often referred to as “Guardian Bell” bells, “Gremlin Bell” bells, and “Angel Bells”, and are gifted to other riders to mount on their motorcycle for safe travels. I make these bells from 2 "Memento Mori - The Last Laugh" 1oz .999 Pure Copper rounds (made by Anonymous Mint) – the upper coin gets annealed then domed and reduced inside steel dies with brass pushers multiple times into shape. The lower coin is center punched, folded and shaped to form the bell skirt – the center punch becomes the clapper of the bell. I use 12 AWG copper wire to form the handle and solder everything together. Finally, I clean them to remove fire-scale, brightly polish them, clean them of dirt and oils, antique them to darken the bells to almost black, use steel wool to carefully buff and pull out highlights, and then hand polish them to a smokey antiqued finish. The coins are made of 1 AVDP oz .999 pure copper, the bell will naturally patina and darken further over time, especially if directly handled. * PLEASE NOTE * - Each bell is made by hand, unique and made to order - photos will not exactly match the item you receive.
