Vintage Foundry Gear Mold clock - Bevel Gear (wind mill gear) Vintage gear mold transformed into a steam punk type clock. One of a kind. This is a vintage foundry mold used to make an impression in s special sand. The impression in the sand was then filled with molten iron to form the final gear. The face of the gear is embellished with clock parts and gears. A hole was drilled into the front of the gear, and a battery clock was inserted. There is a hole in the back so the clock can be removed to add a AA battery. The surface is the original patina. The back of the clock has original foundry markings. Battery is not included.
