Wasp Nest Decoy. Handmade. MADE TO ORDER. This beautiful crocheted wasp nest would like great hanging from your balcony, patio, or in your garden. Though it has not been scientifically proven to work, many swear by decoy wasp nests to deter wasps from building nests in the area. It tricks them into thinking that another colony has already established its territory. MATERIALS: Acrylic yarn and polyfil. CARE: Hand wash or gentle cycle. Hang dry or air dry. DIMENSIONS: The wasp nest should be about 12 inches long (not including loop), and about 6 ½-7 inches across from the thickest part up top, about 2 inches across from the thinnest part at the bottom. The circumference from the center should measure 15 ½-16 inches around. IMPORTANT: Please allow at least one week for me to complete custom/handmade orders, two weeks at the most. In some cases however, completion may take over two weeks depending on my work load and difficulty level of pattern, particularly during peak season/the holidays.
