When a shelf I'd ordered online arrived packed in styrofoam panels, I couldn't bring myself to simply throw them away. So I turned them into my newest type of canvas! Each winter tree in this set is painted in acrylic on a 5.25" tall by 4" wide foam panel. The edges are painted in the same sky blue as the front. You can prop the paintings on a shelf, or easily hang them on a small nail — all you have to do is carefully push the nail head into the back of the foam. (Make sure the nail head is small, not just the nail itself. A large nail head is more likely to crack the styrofoam. No nails are included with the set.)
