This is a hat and scarf set for a young child. The hat is 16" around and the scarf has a length of 54" x 8" width. The hat shown has some stretch to the fabric. Each hat should also be 1" smaller than the head circumference. Note: These are an easy care item that you can toss in your washer and dryer. Every laundry experience makes it softer and ready for another use! I have been doing crochet for the past 60 years beginning at age 10-ish with my grandmother teaching me stitches and easy patterns. This is one of the patterns I developed especially for babies.
