Welcome to Ann-Made! I am Ann Skydell Harmon, a life-long artist, designer and art teacher. I knew as early as 2007 that I had stumbled upon a wonderful, upcycled item to create. My Ann-Made environmental jewelry started out as a lesson plan for my art students back then. My fellow teachers, my two daughters, friends, and friends of friends fell in love with the look, the idea and the quality. The idea of working with soda can tabs was not new but the execution was. I wanted my jewelry to be more than just a trinket but rather something that tied my love of art, my love of the planet and my love of community together. After much trial and error, searching out just the right materials, perfecting the technique used, creating the packaging and sourcing my tabs from community charities collecting tabs, like Ronald McDonald House, I was finally ready to reach out to people like you to share my work. After having success at displaying my work at 80 different craft fairs, I tiptoed into the wholesale market and started attending commercial trade shows. My jewelry was a hit! Almost too much of a hit lol. I now focus, once again, on selling to awesome people like you and am so happy!
