Bamboo Peaces

Welcome to Bamboo Peaces. Thank you for your interest. My name is Wesley Hatfield. I make spiritually inspired art. The art is meticulously constructed of regular bamboo skewers individually glued, sanded then epoxied. I make boxes, wall hangings, meditation pieces, game boards, incense burners, etc. All are done in a minimalist, zen like style. The pieces are a peaceful addition to the decor and fung shui of a space, inducing calm and appreciation for geometries and natural order. Additionally, I create spiritually inspired miniature dioramas featuring Buddhist and Christian themes. These are highly detailed miniature landscapes with rich foliage and grasses and trees, which incorporate miniature resin or 3d printed figures, animals and structures. These are highly painted, weathered and detailed with oil and acrylic paints. The bases of these dioramas are also constructed of bamboo skewers. Atop the bases, acrylic cases are created to protect the 1/35 scale dioramas from dust and wear. The dioramas are a quiet place depicting nature which can bring stillness and calm to a busy day. All of these pieces take a very large number of hours to create. Very much love goes into each one.
